President: Mark Di Cecco, AIA

Mark Di Cecco, AIA, is founder and principal of Di Cecco Architecture, Inc., an architecture and urban planning firm founded in 1988 with projects throughout the western United States. A native of Los Angeles, he comes from a family of successful contractors in the housing industry. He has lived in Ventura County with his wife and four children for over 25 years.

He has a Doctor of Architecture from the University of Hawaii and a Bachelor of Architecture from Cal Poly Pomona. His educational experience also includes University of Copenhagen and Harvard Graduate School of Design. His doctoral dissertation proved it possible to develop suburban housing in a sustainable, cost efficient, community-based model.

He is a licensed architect in four states, NCARB certified, and a LEED Accredited Professional. He has taught architecture at Woodbury University and UCLA Extension. He has been a Planning Commissioner for the City of Moorpark since 1998. His professional and volunteer interests include providing shelter, affordable housing, resource efficient design, and training architects and homeowners to be socially relevant stewards of our environment. When not working, he spends as much time possible with his family in the outdoors of California.

Vice President: Daniel Saltee, AIA

Daniel Saltee AIA was born and raised in Ventura County, California. After receiving his formal training from the Southern California Institute of Architecture (SCI-Arc), he went on to work at some of the most preeminent design firms in Los Angeles. Having had the opportunity to work on an extensive list of distinguished projects including, Museums, Visitors Centers, and Performing Art Spaces. He now happily practices and resides in Ventura, California with his wife and two children.



Treasurer: Bill Amador, AIA

Bill was born and raised near downtown Los Angeles and received his architectural education at Los Angeles City College and the original Southern California Institute of Architecture in Santa Monica. His partner in life and in business is Jean Whittle Amador; his college sweetheart. They moved to Westlake Village in 1993 to raise their two girls. Their girls are out of the house now doing their own thing. Bill and Jean’s firm, Amador Whittle Architects, Inc. in Moorpark specializes in public sector and educational projects. In the 1980’s, prior to becoming licensed architects, they ran a residential design/build company. These days, when Bill is not architecting, he is busy learning to salsa and tap dance (or riding his Harley). He also enjoys being a mentor with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Ventura County.

Secretary: Jean Amador, AIA

Jean considers herself a California Regional Architect. Jean was raised in West Los Angeles and was the first girl to take drafting at Culver Junior High School she attended architectural classes at Santa Monica City College attended the original Southern California Institute of Architecture in Santa Monica.  Yes, her partner in life and in business is Bill Amador; her college sweet heart, together they run the firm, Amador Whittle Architects, Inc. The Firm focus is on public sector and educational projects and all the other challenges that come their way.  Jean loves to spend time with her big family and dance as much as possible.

California Council Director: Darwin McCredie, AIA

Born to an American father and English mother, Darwin McCredie was raised in Malibu with four siblings. At an early age, he was interested in his surroundings, specifically in the dual California influences of Mid-Century Modern and Mediterranean Revival buildings. Inspired to become an architect, Darwin earned his Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts degrees in Architecture at UC Berkeley. Afterward, he lived and worked in San Francisco for more than twenty-five years, first at Gensler Associates, a global architecture, design, planning and consulting firm; and then with Hornberger & Worstell, a San Francisco-based firm that specializes in design and master planning. About ten years ago, Darwin relocated to Ojai to enter private practice and to spend time with his close-knit family. In late 2012, he was appointed vice chair of the Ojai Historic Preservation Commission, which makes recommendations to the City Council and Planning Commission regarding the protection of landmarks, property and structures throughout the Ojai Valley. Darwin spends rare leisure time hiking the valley’s numerous trails and rooting for his favorite football team, naturally, the San Francisco 49ers.

Architect Director: Claudia Pedroso, AIA

Claudia was born and raised in Mexico and came to the United States in 1981. She received her Bachelor of Architecture from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo in 1990. She worked in the private industry for 12 years for both small and medium-sized architectural firms that specialized in commercial, hospital and school work. In 1998 she started with the City of Thousand Oaks as the Disabled Access Coordinator and was later promoted to Senior Planner in Development Planning section of the Community Development Department. Her projects reviews include residential sub-divisions, large commercial projects as well as legislative matters.  Claudia currently serves as the Downtown Revitalization Manager for the City of Oxnard.

Associate Director: Leo Trebels, Associate AIA

Leonardo is currently employed at Southern California Edison. Where he works as an Energy Efficiency Specialist in the Savings By Design program. He is tasked with provide design team and customer assistance to help with the performance of the building. Leonardo has a Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture and graduated with Honors from the Southern California Institute of Architecture. Leonardo’s background has been a diverse history in construction and architecture. He had the privilege of serving our country in the Navy for nine years as a Navy Seabee Diver. This gave him the opportunity to complete a variety of construction projects in some diverse and challenging areas around the world. When Leonardo left the Navy to complete his education, he worked for numerous architectural firms throughout Southern California creating his ability to look at projects at different scales & levels. In addition to a Bachelor of Architecture he holds several certifications: LEED Green Associate, Certified Energy Manager, and Project Management Professional.
